My sistographer and I had big dreams of having our FIRST styled shoot and doing it big at Monahans sand dunes. As determined as heck women, we made it happen! We pulled together some freakin’ awesome vendors & pulled things from our home to achieve the vision we had set in our minds. My sweet friends Katelyn & Paden volunteered to model for us which was awesome because they are SO CRAZY IN LOVE. Also, I have photographed every special moment in their relationship from their engagements & wedding to their maternity photos so we have some BIG CONNECTION BABY.

We started shooting Katelyn & Paden around 5:30 AM for sunrise and it was about 30 degrees with winds of 25mph. I straight up only had flip flops because I packed for Texas heat so I was starting a new trend of socks with flip flops… classy right?

We all stuck out the harsh climate and Katelyn & Paden’s love was able to flourish through our collaborative set up. The couple exchanged the sweetest vows during sunrise that encapsulated exactly what the other needed to hear after 2 years of sweet marriage. I’ve known the two for so long, I started to choke up just listening to what they had to say about each other. They then enjoyed our little cake table that was a perfect fit for just two & yes we ate the heck out of that cake and it tasted AMAZING!!! We decide to cut loose after this and go sand dune surfing which was super cool until I did a barrel roll down the side of a hill… SO NOT COOL GRAVITY.

Overall, this was by far my favorite session I’ve done. If you’re thinking of eloping… DO IT. There is nothing more intimate I’ve ever felt in the world & nothing more fulfilling then traveling with people you love. Break out of the box, please yourselves, & elope (if thats what your into).
